As the "Korean Wave" spread all over the world, also kwon as "hallyu:, overseas fans of Korean pop culture are increasing dramatically. So now the number of overseas fans are estimated about 3.3 million. They distribue in some 20 regions, and there are 182 hallyu fan clubs. The Ministry of Culutre introduce some fan clubs. France fan club, "Kore Connection" which demonstrate in extention of SM town Paris festival on last june, " Turkey fan club, "Korea Fans" which have 40 thousand fans, broadcast Korea radio and publish Korea magazine. A ministry official said "Overseas fan clubs of Korean pop stars are playing a 'flying column' role in spreading the boom of Korean pop culture. Rather than being simple consumers, they're organizing Korean culture festivals," (Korea Herald). They want to encourage them to spread more, and "hallyu" can be developing even with Korea traditional culture.
I thought K-Pop is just our culture and this might not be international. But I was wrong. Now "Korean Wave" is more spreading to Europe, South-east Asia and America (Korea Herald). I'm proud of our culture as a Korean. I should try to publicize our culture, excellenc of "hallyu".
